Our cosy country studio over looks a private courtyard and a stunning valley filled with kangaroos. The space is beautifully presented to create a haven for a romantic weekend or some much needed time out to recharge.
Relax with a glass of wine on your private deck as the sun sets in front of you or rug up and watch the stars while the fire pit keeps you toasty. Everything you need to escape and relax.
We have welcomed city escape guests, honeymooners, travellers, writers and long term guests who have all been thrilled with their stay. It comprises of a double bed in the studio and an additional room with 2 twin beds.
Minimum of 2 nights only.
Guests are free to enjoy our 5 acre property, spend time in the delightful gardens or relax in the peace and quiet.
The deck provides a fabulous place to read a book, enjoy a champagne , light the fire pit, BBQ your dinner or toast marshmallows under the stars.
The area is teaming with kookaburras, kangaroos and many other visiting Australian wildlife.
It has all the facilities and extras you might need for your time away including new high quality linen, electric blankets, TV/DVD player, free WIFI, heating/ cooling system, heated towel rail, large BBQ, fire pit , tea/ coffee machine with pods, kitchenette with microwave/oven, 2 x stove top, bar fridge, cooking equipment and all the small items you need when away from home.
The free standing studio shares the property with our main house but you have your own entrance, parking and garden/ deck. Great privacy. We are available if needed but otherwise you are left alone to enjoy the space.
There is plenty of room for parking and caravans are welcome if you need a break from life on the road.
Woodend is a small country town located in the heart of the Macedon Ranges - only 45 minutes from Melbourne.
This fabulous area is famous for its stunning seasons, restaurants, cafes, galleries, bike tracks, walks, parks and wineries.
If you would like recommendations before you arrive please let me know as I am always keeping up to date with local events. We HIGHLY recommend booking the Japanese restaurant KUZU in advance as it is amazing!!
We leave a detailed welcome folder in the studio that has some of our favourite activities and places to eat and drink!
Our property is located 5 minutes from Woodend and 15 minutes to Trentham. It is also ideally located to visit Hanging Rock, Mt Macedon, Kyneton or Daylesford.
Please note we only accept 2 night bookings and 3 nights for Hanging Rock concerts.

No smoking in the studio
Dogs are welcome and we have built a fence connected to the studio that should keep most large dogs contained as long as they don't jump fences or dig!
Before you book please discuss your dogs and needs as we are surrounded by farms and also have our own animals and wildlife in abundance - so we need to be sure everyone will be safe and happy.
Septic tanks are used on the property so no foreign objects are to be placed in toilet.
Checkin is after 2pm and checkout 11am.
